Concert Season has Returned in Asheville for 2021
The vibrant glow of the music community in Asheville has dulled since the spring of 2020 without the live shows that the city is known for. At long last, however, the sun is coming out. As more concerts and festivals are announced, our wallet is becoming lighter and lighter.
Some of our favorite long-time venues, Harrah’s Cherokee Center, Salvage Station, and The Grey Eagle, for example, are announcing their late summer and fall lineups at an exhilarating pace. A new contender in the music game is The Orange Peel and Asheville Brewing‘s outdoor venue, Rabbit Rabbit, located in the heart of downtown Asheville. With 9+ new shows announced in the last few weeks, they might as well take a blank check from us and call it a day. Until now, downtown has rarely been able to host an outdoor show. You would typically need to go outside of the city center to find enough space for an outside gathering. What will be your first show there?

While many bands have shifted during the pandemic to hosting virtual and drive-thru concerts, it will be thrilling to see them back on stage while standing in the crowd enjoying a local beer. Our venues and our city have remained resilient throughout the last year and a half with hosting social distanced events, movies, workout classes, and more. This is a testament to the special community Asheville has. We are ready to welcome back live music with open arms and open wallets.
